The Tricky Treat – Non-Alcoholic Halloween Drink
I decided to kick off this Halloween drinks collection with a non-alcoholic option. Last year’s Dracula’s Blood was loved by so many of you, so The Tricky Treat is my fresh, fizzy and alcohol-free drink for this spooky season.

This Halloween mocktail (non-alcoholic drink) is bright, bubbly and full of dark fruit flavor. Fresh blackberries, lime, grenadine, lemon-lime soda and Topo Chico create a layered drink that feels playful enough for Halloween but easy enough to make anytime in October.
Ingredients
6 to 8 fresh blackberries
1/2 fresh lime, squeezed
3/4 oz grenadine
2 oz lemon-lime soda
2 oz Topo Chico
Ice
Instructions
Add the blackberries to a glass and gently muddle.
Squeeze in the fresh lime juice.
Add ice and pour in the grenadine.
Top with lemon-lime soda and Topo Chico.
Stir gently and serve immediately.
Hosting Notes
This drink is best made right before serving so the carbonation stays lively. Serve it in a clear glass so the berries and rich red color show through, and garnish with extra blackberries or a lime wheel for a simple but spooky finish.
Witchy Sangria – Easy Halloween Party Sangria
Sangria is one of my favorite drinks for Halloween entertaining because it’s easy to make ahead and serve to a crowd. This Witchy Sangria is fruity, dark and easy to customize, making it perfect when you want something festive for a spooky Halloween party.

Dark fruits like blackberries, cherries and dried cranberries give the pitcher its moody Halloween look, while ginger whiskey adds warmth and pink lemonade brings a little sweetness. Pinot Noir turns everything into an easy, fruit-forward Halloween sangria.
You can also add sliced plums or black grapes for extra flavor and an even darker presentation.
Ingredients
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup cherries
2 oz ginger whiskey
6 oz pink lemonade
8 oz Pinot Noir
Optional: sliced plums or black grapes
Ice, for serving
Instructions
Add the dried cranberries, blackberries and cherries to a large pitcher.
Pour in the ginger whiskey, pink lemonade and Pinot Noir.
Stir everything together well.
Let the fruit soak for at least 30 minutes, or chill the sangria for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
Serve over ice.
Hosting Notes
This is a great make-ahead Halloween drink because the fruit gets better as it sits. If you’re serving it at a party, prep the sangria ahead and refrigerate it, then add some fresh fruit right before serving so the pitcher still looks full and dramatic.
Easy Halloween Hot Chocolate Bar Ideas
I think nothing is better than hot chocolate during spooky season. It’s cozy, kid-friendly and one of the easiest drinks to customize for both family nights and Halloween parties.
Instead of serving just one version, you can turn basic hot chocolate into a DIY Halloween hot chocolate bar with different flavors, toppings and optional spirits for the adults.
Kid-Friendly Hot Chocolate Upgrades
For a fun Halloween twist, I love adding vanilla essence, salted caramel or almond essence to hot chocolate. Seasonal flavors like pumpkin pie filling or peppermint also work beautifully, and a small pinch of sea salt can help bring everything together.
You can also make each mug more exciting with texture and toppings. Try a rim of crushed nuts or slightly softened marshmallows for a playful finish. If you want something extra indulgent, a little frosting or even a piece of mini cupcake can turn your hot chocolate into a full Halloween dessert drink.

Adult Hot Chocolate Upgrades
If you want to make your hot chocolate more grown-up, it is incredibly versatile.
Vanilla vodka adds warmth without overpowering the cocoa, while coffee-forward liqueurs are a natural fit if you want the drink to feel richer and more dessert-like.

Kahlúa is one of my favorite additions for a classic coffee note. Shanky’s Whip works beautifully when you want whiskey, vanilla cream and caramel flavors in one pour, while coffee whiskey is another great upgrade if you want something deeper and more aromatic.

A Halloween hot chocolate bar is one of the easiest ways to serve a mixed-age group.
Keep the cocoa warm in a slow cooker, then set out toppings, syrups and garnishes so everyone can customize their own mug. Keep any optional spirits in a separate section for the adults.
Cotton Candy Halloween Shot
Do you like a chaser with your shots? I usually don’t, but I do like topping up a shot with a chaser, and this Cotton Candy Shot is such a fun way to start a Halloween party.

Vodka, elderflower liqueur and tonic water make this shot light, floral and easy to drink. The cotton candy garnish gives it a playful finish and makes it feel a little magical, especially if you’re going for a whimsical Halloween party look.
Ingredients
1 oz vodka
1/2 oz elderflower liqueur
1 to 1 1/2 oz tonic water or elderflower tonic water
Cotton candy, for garnish
Ice
Instructions
Add vodka and elderflower liqueur to a shaker with ice.
Shake until chilled.
Strain into a shot glass or small glass.
Top with tonic water.
Garnish with a little cotton candy and serve immediately.
Hosting Notes
This shot is best served right away so the cotton candy keeps its shape.
If you’re making several for a Halloween party, line up and prepare all the glasses first. Add the cotton candy garnish at the very last minute so it stays airy and dramatic rather than dissolving before your guests get to it.
Sadness Shot – Blue Halloween Party Shot
The last drink in this spooky season collection is another shot, this time without the chaser.
This movie-inspired drink is based on Sadness from Inside Out, one of my favorite modern movie characters. Its vibrant blue color also happens to make it a fun addition to a colorful Halloween drinks lineup.

Shop the Sadness Shot look: Find the shot glasses and edible sparkle I used to create this bright blue Halloween party shot.
Blue curaçao and coconut rum create a sweet, simple shot with a tropical edge. If you want to make it even more magical, stir in a little purple edible sparkle for a shimmering finish that gives the drink some extra personality.
Ingredients
1 oz blue curaçao
1 oz coconut rum
Purple edible sparkle, optional
Ice
Instructions
Add the blue curaçao and coconut rum to a shaker with ice.
Add edible sparkle if using.
Shake until chilled.
Strain into a shot glass and serve immediately.
Hosting Notes
This shot is simple but very visual, so serve it in clear glassware to let that bright blue color shine.
If you’re styling it for photos or arranging several shots on a Halloween party tray, a touch of edible sparkle gives it an even more playful, movie-inspired finish.
How to Build an Easy Halloween Drink Menu
You don’t need five complicated cocktails to create a fun Halloween bar. I actually love mixing different styles of drinks so guests have options throughout the night.
Start with a big-batch drink like Witchy Sangria, add a non-alcoholic option like The Tricky Treat, and set up a cozy hot chocolate bar if the weather calls for it. Then have one or two playful Halloween shots ready for the adults.
It gives you a Halloween drink menu that feels thoughtfully planned without requiring you to spend the entire party making cocktails.

Halloween Drinks FAQ
What is the best non-alcoholic Halloween drink?
A great non-alcoholic Halloween drink should be colorful, festive and easy to serve. The Tricky Treat works especially well because it combines dark berries, lime, grenadine and bubbles for a fizzy Halloween mocktail (non-alcoholic) that still looks dramatic on a party table.
Can I make Halloween sangria ahead of time?
Yes. Sangria is one of the best make-ahead Halloween drinks because chilling gives the fruit time to soak and the flavors time to come together.
Prepare your sangria ahead of the party and refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve. You can add some fresh fruit before serving for a prettier presentation.
What alcohol goes best in hot chocolate?
Coffee liqueurs, vanilla vodka, whiskey-based cream liqueurs and coffee whiskey can all pair beautifully with hot chocolate because their flavors complement the richness of cocoa.
Creamy, vanilla and coffee-forward spirits are especially good for dessert-style hot chocolate cocktails.
What makes a good Halloween shot?
A good Halloween shot should be relatively simple to prepare, visually striking and easy to serve to a group. Color, edible sparkle, playful garnishes and themed glassware can turn even a simple shot recipe into something that feels special for Halloween.
