[Update, after completing the challenge (yay!)]: 2017 was not the happiest year of the 27 years of my life. No two years are the same and that is the thought around which I kick start every new year. I made mistakes, I had major setbacks and I want them to stay where they are and enter the new year, making way for new ways of learning about life. 2018 might be better than 2017 or it may not be and it should not be the reason to worry about today. Living life, one day at a time!

And that is exactly the reason why I decided to take this challenge. I was not eternally sad. I just wanted to reinstigate the feeling of taking life as it comes. And the last 100 days of 2017 was the best time to take the challenge as it would make me start my 2018 with a super positive note.  I managed to take one good picture as a souvenir of the better things that happened, no matter how bad the day turned out to be!

On that note, wish you all a very happy new year. I pray for a bright and lovely year or all of you! :)

What brings me back to this challenge after 3 unsuccessful and one successful attempt?

Well, the last time I completed this challenge, my major takeaway was to smile, accept and embrace every situation in life. Somehow, the daily grind of life consumes us too much that we forget to live in the moment. The negativity around us is so much that we don't realize how they start affecting us mentally.

Right now I should be content with my stagnant life, or as they say, an ideal life with a good family and a good paying job. I am content, yes. But am I happily content?

You can never have all the aspect of your life sailing in the same sea. Some might be sailing in the wildest and turbulent sea while others are in a calmer space. I don't know if that is what is happening to me right now, but I just want to be a li'l bit more positive at this point in time in my life. Also, this is the only way you have when you are not having many people to talk to!

Probably, my daily grind is making me forget my lessons I learnt  the last time from my #100HappyDays challenge.

So, here I am again. I am going to add one picture for the next 100 days in the empty space below. And I really hope to start the next year in a more happy and positive way!

One pretty amazing thing that the challenge website page says:
"It is not a happiness competition or a showing off contest. If you try to please / make others jealous via your pictures – you lose without even starting. Same goes for cheating."

So yes, I am doing anything to show off or to make anyone feel bad or good. Posting this on my blog is just a gentle reminder to myself that life is good! :)

I want to take my Alexa Rank to the next level with #MyFriendAlexa.

  7. oooh... this is a nice variation. Pics are too small though. how about making it 4 posts of 25 pics (or 5 posts of 20) for helping it load faster while also giving u the option to keep the size medium and adding captions to help u remember it years from now.

Yes! But tackling any situation needs motivation. And I think I am lacking that self motivation to move ahead in life. Thank you for wishes :)

I had the same thought in mind. But then I realised that this is just for me again. Also, this challenge, according to me, is about living in the moment. I might look back for motivation but probably never look back to these pictures in detail! :D

  39. I've given up on 100 days so many times too. It makes me feel sadder that i have nothing to revel about. But then there are good days and bad. Every day doesn't have to be good. We just need to remember that this too shall pass

    ReplyDelete
  40. @Nayantara
And that is exactly what this challenge reinforces. Days pass by - happy or sad - that doesn't mean we forget to live! :)

Thank you so much for visiting my blog :)
