#MadeOfGreat | Part 3

Assumption time - After the huge success of the Part 1 and Part 2 of this series, I am here with the third part of the series.

I have talked about this man about gazallion times because he is just there in my life. Not that I go to him crying every time I seek help but he will just somehow appear out of nowhere and then talk and make me laugh the shit out of me while making me see through the tough times. Come on, I know that every phase ends but when someone tells you that, you just see that even more clearly.

So, Doctor Roshan has been talked about a lot on this blog and by now many of you must think that I am being paid to write about him. I so wish! He not only inspires me to write but talking to him makes you feel that people do live against all the odds then why the hell am I crying over my life. I know its difficult but it will pass. All I have to do is just not let it break me.

I wanted his interview to be a video interview for one simple reason - I really wanted to show how funny and witty he is. And it is just so natural and spontaneous for him. But blame his call of duty - so much dedication I tell you! One of the many facts that adds him to my list of #MadeOfGreat

The doc documented!

What did you have for breakfast?
(There is not much meaning to eat. This question is just to test if a person is healthy enough to sit through the interview)

"I was in a medical conference this weekend so I actually settled for their idli, upma and strong coffee. "
(Finally someone who is good to go!)

What would you do if you were the one survivor of a plane crash?
(Now, people who are not mean at all are best to answer this question. I believe that this brings out the best out of them and their selfless nature)

"Buy a lottery ticket the moment I get out of the hospital to see if my luck still holds good."
(So needy! But yes, this li'l (dis)belief of his in luck inspires me to take control of my life.)

Who would win a fight between Spiderman and Batman?
(All right, so this question is just to keep the fun factor on so that no one walks out on me in the middle of the interview)

"WWE style, the underdog Spidey would get in a few punches at the start and make some wise-ass comments but in the end, Bats would end the battle with a characteristic finishing move, probably involving a batarang and some stuff he learned from Ra's Al Ghul."
(Typical of him, just so typical!)

If you had a machine that produced $100 for life, what would you be willing to pay for it today?
(This one tells about the importance of independence that one feels in his/her life)

"All my life savings (I am a doctor working in a medical college. Trust me, I am getting the better end of this bargain.)"
(The sad truth about being a doctor in India!)

Describe the color yellow to somebody who is blind.
(I look for inspiration for creativity all around me. The people I am talking about are creative in their own manner. Let us just see how.)

"It is joy and smiles, happiness and an affectionate bear hug."
(This is so awww!)

Which is your favourite Disney princess?
(This one is to understand one's stand on sexism.)

"Jasmine from Aladdin. Wait, does Anne Hatheway from the Princess Diaries count? Was that not a Disney movie?"
(Okay, no comments!)

When you just fail, what makes you get up and try again?
(Now comes the serious questions. I am only interviewing the people who inspire me for being great in themselves. So yes, this question kind of sums up the "why".)

"The need to prove to myself that I am worthy. It is a constant cycle of ups and downs, losing confidence in your abilities and then motivating yourself to try JUST one more time."

What or who is the source of your strength?
(Because I know these people will always tell you to draw strength out of the situations and not always the people!)

"The failures of my past."

Who inspires you to be as selfless as you are?

"Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey. They look to make people believe again in miracles and often reward people for good deeds they have done. That for me matters more than sycophancy and being feted for being devoted to a particular religion or Godman... being feted for being a good human being."

********

I am so glad I could do this interview. But, but, but I will make sure I do a video interview of him some time soon!
