The #ProtectHerHeart Pledge!

(This is a winning post at the contest hosted by BlogAdda.)

As I am nearing the number that clearly defines a quarter, the crisis has begun to creep in. Though they say that age is just a number, there are way too many things that comes with the number.

My twitter page has the following tweet pinned on the top. Sadly, I am suffering from the quarter life crisis since a year now!

With age, maturity is what should come. But what creeps in is worry. The worry of being so unsettled. The worry of being an underachiever. The worry of not being as fit as one should have been. Well, this is my story.

I started to work out and eat healthy. Fitness is important and I have always known that. The plan is working out well so far. All the worries take a toll on the heart. A messed up job, unhealthy eating habits and a lifestyle that not many of us appreciate - they just have a great impact on the power house of our body.

There are so many things that I have started to do - right from drinking detox water to having a protein rich breakfast to a less fat enriched lunch to enjoying green tea and loads of nuts. But is that enough?

Why am I suddenly so obsessed with everything healthy? Pretty good reasons I have. This is probably the best age to look good! Apart from that, I am aging and there are too many things on my bucket list to complete. Running a marathon. trekking in the Himalayan range, going to Ladakh on a bicycle - I don't think I can do that with an unfit body. You might not be fat, you might weigh just right but do you feel fit? Do you think you have the stamina to do every thing that you wish to?

This October I am pledging to protect the heart with the www.saffolalife.com initiative. I took the Weight Heart Test here and found out the right diet and work out plan for me. 10,000 steps - that is all it takes to keep the heart healthy and pumping!

I am joining the Saffolalife #ProtectHerHeart initiative and pledging my support to better heart health in Association with BlogAdda.ac
